Michele Tragakiss’s October exhibit titled, “Before, During and After” is a reflection of her artistic evolution before, during and after the height of the Covid period beginning in late 2020. 
As a third-generation artist, I draw inspiration from my mother's technical artistry. My paintings blend tech's structured lines with abstract's organic flow, bridging social and political themes close to heart. Geometric precision and intuitive abstraction converge in my work, reflecting my subconscious perspective.

"2021 MIXMASTER winner Michele Tragakiss harnesses both geometric and gestural elements in her bold, abstract paintings. Tragakiss balances these juxtaposing elements to fashion works that are simultaneously soft and precise, energetic and contemplative. Vibrant colors, graphic lines, and layered compositions come together to create artworks that invite and reward exploration into what Tragakiss identifies as “a visual stream of [her] subconscious”.
